[LAUNCHING TODAY] How to Teach With TED Talks: A Practical Course for English Teachers

My love of using authentic video in the classroom started thirty years ago, when I was doing my MA. And the past five years have been all about TED Talks – developing materials, writing course books and giving presentations to help English teachers like you use TED talks in class.

This has given me the opportunity to talk to thousands of teachers worldwide. And what I’ve learned from them is that they loved the idea of teaching with TED talks, but struggled with how to use them effectively in class.

Maybe you can relate to some of the common problems English teachers have when using TED talks:

  • Which TED talk do I choose?
  • What if my students are low level?
  • How do I prepare a lesson plan?
  • What language do I focus on?
  • How do I help students understand the talk?
  • How can I use TED talks with students studying English for very specific purposes (e.g. academic English, business, etc.)?

The list goes on.

I’ve listened carefully to the comments, questions and challenges YOU and other English teachers have shared over the last several years. And for the last several months I’ve been developing a clear, quick and easy solution to teaching with TED Talks.

You will learn exactly how to use TED talks with your students, whether they’re low or high level, whether you’ve never used TED talks or are already experienced.

The on-line course I’m opening today will answer all your questions, doubts and possible challenges you might have experienced when using TED talks and will give you clear, practical guidelines and lesson plans you can apply right away in your classes.
